Heard of drone hacking or counter-UAV systems?
You've probably seen it on the news, deployed one in Call-of-Duty Warzone or experienced it in games like Tom Clancy's Wildlands.
So what are they? Well, they're more common (and real) than you think. Prisons, stadiums, airports and military bases are constantly fighting off drones with explosive payloads, hacking equipment and narcotic payloads.
It's a job. Heck, we even hired the worlds first ever Drone Security Consultants. This is the very same training we teach our staff from day 1.
Course Overview
Join your trainers as they walk you through the world of Drone Security. From an introduction to drone incidents, to the threats faced by physical environments, this class will provide you with the tools and methodologies it takes to work in this industry.
This is an efficient and effective crash course. You will have a hybrid of audible and self-read components from consultants with unique teaching experience. We want to empower the future generation of skills we'd like to hire.
On completion of the courses, if you'd like to complete the activities, you can try achieve the Drone Security Operations Certificate (DSOC).
What You Will Get
Tools, references, reports and presentations 3 courses of general and technical content

A day in the life of...
Organisations hire people like us to do things like:
- Hack into (and secure) their drones and drone software
- Simulate the bad guys to test counter-measures
- Track intelligence for rogue threat actors who use drones
- Assess sites for potential take-off points and risks
- Break into buildings using drones for reconnaissance
We have identified security vulnerabilities and compromised the systems of some of the world's largest drone manufacturers, analysis tools, UTM/UAM software and Counter-UAS systems.
Why? We help organisations identify their risk surface and give them recommendations for mitigating potential threats. This course will give you insight into the operations that you can take to ensure safe and secure innovation of the drone industry.
What does the course cover?
The protection of friendly drones, the systems that support them and countering rogue drone threats.
What level of experience is required?
We start from zero (0). We've had 16 year old's take the course in anticipation of working as a Counter-UAS operator one day. Some of the advanced modules will challenge you towards the end.
Participants with a security background will pick up the topics much quicker.
Who is this course for?
Drone Security combines cyber, aviation and physical security. You may be a student, consultant, penetration tester, security guard, counter-drone vendor or law enforcement officer.
Hackers who want to better protect clients (drone manufacturers, counter-drone vendors, UTM/UAM) against misconfigurations, vulnerabilities and exploits.
Counter-Drone vendors or operators who want to conduct threat intelligence, forecast emerging threats or red team simulations against their technology.
Law Enforcement and Government who want to understand, explain and baseline drone smuggling, narcotics or payloads with threat modelling.
Students who one day want to work in the physical, digital or aviation security sectors. This includes software development, analytics, intelligence, perimeter security or drone operators.
Who is this course not for?
Generally, this course is specific to those wanting to break into or already a part of the security industry. However, it's been used by software developers, drone pilots, non-technical security guards and investors to understand the area, add a certification to their belt or secure their organisation.
This is not a 101 introduction to generic hacking, forensics, physical security or building drones - rather a combination to understand drone security. We will reference alternative 3rd parties, courses and tools.

Suited to the non-technical
Even without coming from a technical background, these modules are massively helpful to newcomers like myself. Succinct delineation between indirect and direct threats! Great examples of asymmetric use of UAVs malicious actors.
A+ course - unique!
The course is really well done, It presents all the steps to study and deepen for those who face such an innovative and futuristic topic. It covers all the basic scenarios to be understood for those who in the future (or even just for their own knowledge) will want to face this work.
I want to congratulate DroneSec on the course. I find it very current and complete as it touches on subjects ranging from Cybersec to anti-terrorism. Really nice.
Solid course and resources
From the outside looking in, this is a great, welcoming course for those not familiar with, or seeking to enter the industry. The resources - in particular the archive of assessments, access to the Notify platform and openness to entering the community will mean a lot to those you’re trying to attract from outside the industry. Really solid.

DroneSec have pioneered the industry.
This course is a great way to shortcut all of the research yourself, and includes all the learnings from mistakes we've made along the way.
